Controversial Louboutins

With the above pictured pair, Christian Louboutin seems to have gotten his inspiration from last year's caged shoes by YSL and this year's penchant for clogs, and mixed them. The result have caused controversy in the blogosphere (see link here).

While being no big fan of white heels myself, I think they're acceptable under certain circumstances. Say, if you should happen to be either

a) Marily Monroe in that iconic image, or
b) a pole dancer,

I believe white heels are part of your image and thus quite natural. Otherwise, what's wrong with a decent pair of nudes or metallics?

But I may be too harsh. What do you think?

  1. I think these are awful! They looks so cheap and tacky. I'm not a fan of white heels...very occasionally you'll see a classy looking pair but for the most part they just look trashy.

  2. Maybe its wrong of me to say...as he is the master...but no - they are grim, don't like them! If it weren't for the red sole I would have thought they were from a supermarket.

  4. They're not the worst in the world, I could see Olivia Palermo pulling them off and looking quite cute doing so...
